up for auction at a low reserve is a 1988 porsche 944 5 speed that is in good condition for the year,this is by no means a show car so i will describe it as best i can so you know what you are bidding on. first off i will describe all the positive things about this car,it runs excellent no smoking or knocking just a very strong running engine with only 98k miles,it also shifts excellent through all the gears i just drove to rhode island and back with no problems,it handles great, very tight with no shaking or vibrating,the tires are like new(yokohama) all around,the brakes are very good too. the exhaust is good no leaks,the car really does run good. most everything works inside the car, windows, sunroof,lights,seat, the thing that isnt working is the ac it has a small leak in the condenser the compresser works fine,i have an aftermarket radio but i havent installed it yet, it has the original blaukpunt radio but the face is gone .the front seat has a couple tears an easy fix.(see pics) the dash has a couple of cracks, the rugs are like new and it doesnt look like anyone ever sat in the back seat.the exterior of the car is ok it has two rust spots one on the hatch where license plate goes i dont know why it rusted there and some very minor surface rust on the drivers side (see pics)the paint has chips here and there and just the wear of 22 years i tried to show everything in the pics as best as i could.like i said this is no show car but with a paint job and a couple of minor things this would be a great summer car or year round depending where you live.i usually have no reserve auctions but i set a low reserve on this one because i want get at least what i have in it, if for some reason it doesnt sell im going to have it painted and keep it myself it really does run good. if you have any questions or want to make me an offer email or call me at 978-870-4438 dave,i will assist in any pick-ups or shipping thanks and good luck
