Up for auction is the very original one owner CA survivor 1987 Chevrolet Silverado Short Bed truck with 74,xxx original miles. This truck has been in the very loving hands of it's original owner since new. They babied this truck and it shows. Appears to be all original paint that is in overall good condition but is showing it's age. There is an area on the hood and the roof where the dry California climate and sun has worn through but would be a simple blend if the new owner decides to go that route. Body is straight with very minot scratches and dings that you would expect to find, but overall very minimal compared to most. This truck appears to have been in the dry California climate all of it's life and it shows as there is zero rust. The bed has been covered since day one with an accessory rubber mat that has kept it in amazing condition. The engine is the 5.0 Liter fuel injected version and runs well. The last oil change was done less than 1000 miles ago and it appears to have had a recent tune up. All of the drivetrain is in working order. New 31x10.50x15 tires (less than 100 miles), new battery, and new wiper blades all added recently. Brakes function as they should. All of the electrical/mechanical items appear to function as they should: All lights, turn signals, brake lights, wipers, heater, power steering, dash lights, dual gas tanks and guage(s), windows, seat belts, locks, etc. all work well. The radio is an older digital tape player that works but is getting old and doesn't work as well as it used to. The interior is all original and in very good overall condition. The front seat does have some wear on the bottom that is mainly on the passenger side but does include a nice seat cover to help protect what is left until the new owner decides what they wish to do with it. Original dash is in amazing condition. Original dash pad is perfect with no drying, cracks, or fading: It has a dashmat that was put on since it was almost new that has kept it in this condition and the dashmat is included. Door panels, carpet, instrument cluster, steering wheel, etc. are all very nice and original. Spare tire, hitch receiver/ball/pin, original owners manuals and original GMAC key chain/tag, and some floor mats are also included with the sale. This is a very nice and desirable truck as this was the last year for this body style and the first year for all/most to have fuel injection.
