Vehicle Detail
Hello! Here We have a 1989 Ford F 150 Heavy Duty XLT Lariat Work Truck! This truck is a 2 Wheel Drive model and is extremely solid... so it would easily fix up into a nice cruiser or custom as well!!! The F150 XLT Lariat Package Options on this truck included: Special Order Half Ton with Heavy Duty Suspension. (Before Super Duty became an official model!) Special Order Pearlcoat Paint. (Mostly worn now but still shows good in bed for sample if repainting.) Special Color Matched Full Fiberglass Bed Cap. Factory Dealer Optional Wide Aluminum Wheels. Tilt Steering Column and Cruise Control. Full Guages Including Tachometer. Power Windows and Power Locks. Chrome Bumpers (still very nice). AC (not currently working). Sliding Rear Window. Dual Gas Tanks. *** You may also want to note this truck has Ford's Stronger Mechanical Overdrive Automatic! (NOT the troublesome weaker E4OD Electronic unit from the 1990's!) This also has the Fuel Injected 5.0 V8 + it has the 6 quart oil capacity system and I believe you'll find it has the Canadian built engine! (That means it should have the stronger high nickle content block casting!) I'm very confident you wouldn't have to worry about core shift if you wanted to build a race engine out of this one - She's Solid! I also upgraded the truck with a new heavy duty radiator a few years ago. It does need a few very easy to fix repairs to get it re-inspected so please email for details if interested! This does have a Very solid body with only little rust on rear wheelwells over back tires and was garage kept most of it's life! History : My uncle ordered the truck new and used it more like a "Cowboy Cadillac" to drive to work or on vacation. It was always garage kept while he had it... and he Never "worked" the truck. I bought it from him about 7 years ago with about 156K miles on it and it's mostly just been like a Cadillac for me too. The only work I've done with it was to haul a small boat trailer for a friend a couple times... I have hauled a little lumber with it... and we used it to move some furnature & boxes when we moved a few times! For an older truck this really is "The Right Truck" IF you know what you're looking at... AND what you're looking for! IF I wasn't handicapped now... I Would Not Sell This Truck! You Really Should Come See This Truck For Yourself! This is sold AS IS and Where Is. No Refunds. No Warranty. I will not arrange shipping or transport of this vehicle for you... but I will Certainly do all I can do to meet your shippers scheduling needs if you are having someone pick it up for you! We must reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time as the truck is listed locally as well... but once the reserve on this listing is met I will immediately cancel all local advertising and high bidder here is the winner! Good Luck Bidding and Have a Blessed Week!On Jul-24-10 at 21:51:17 PDT, seller added the following information: If you are doing the repair work yourself... the parts to get this re-inspected should be no more than 175 to 250 for just the parts - but again these are some very easy things to fix... The exhaust is broke at the front of the muffler so it will need a muffler and probably a tailpipe... The driver's side power window "slips"... and I believe passenger side window motor needs replaced (pretty sure just the driver's window needs fixed for tags though)... There is a short reburn hose that needs wrapped & sealed or replaced... ... and the wiring to pass side headlight needs checked as that side headlight is dimmer. (someone said they think it's a simple shorted wire... and that it was causing the passenger side power window problem + the radio display as well?) Although they don't need to be done to get it tagged... one tie rod end should be replaced soon (probably atleast within the next 6 months or so)... and the radio works but digital display is dark + one speaker needs replaced. Thank You for all the email interest & questions about the truck! Good Luck Bidding & Have A Blessed Week!
