Vehicle Detail

This is my wife's 1972 Dodge Demon. This car originally came from the factory with a V8 (318) and an automatic transmission. The car is very solid and looking for someone to give it some TLC. Right now the car is equipt with a built 360 which I will describe in detail toward the bottom on the listing. The Body: The car originally was painted a mustard or off yellow color. The owner before us painted the car bright yellow and there has been some fading in spots as well as some poor coverage. The body does have some small bubbles which I will include in the pictures. Not very much, but I believe in being up front so you know exactly what you are bidding on. Behind the passenger side door there has been a repair. The repair looks good (check out the pictures). You can tell from the pictures that the car is very solid. It could be described as a 30/30 car.... looks passable at 30 feet and 30 MPH. It is definitely a driver! I would think that with minimal body prep someone with some painting skills could have this car looking like a showcar again in just a weekends worth of work. The interior has nice seats with no tears that I can see but they could use a dye job if you wanted them to look really sharp. The door panels have some small tears near the window crank (I think it is repairable). The carpet is dirty looking mostly because of that off yellow color, but is not torn or showing overly worn. The car comes with it's original AM radio but I will throw in a nice CD player that will make trips more enjoyable for the winning bidder. The dash insert is new and has a great cluster of gauges that we had installed last summer. You can find the inserts by searching on Ebay.... nice quality and not inexpensive. The dash is a dash cap. Tires: new within the last 200 miles. New stuff: Radiator, Master cylinder, Dash insert, and Tires. The engine: 1979 Police Package 360ci HP Engine block standard bore/ Pistons 9.5 to one Competition Cam 477/480 lift, 268/280 duration New cam bearings new high volume oil pump new fuel pump New rocker arms and rocker arm shafts from mopar performance J-heads pocket ported/ port matched seals with new guides 3 angle valve job Edelbrock RPM intake manifold Holley 750 carb. Mopar electronic high perf. ECU/ Distributor. The car runs great and is very dependable. My wife and I have had it at two shows in the last month and put on more than 600 miles total with no problems. I would drive it anywhere and not worry. The car originally came with A/C but the previous owner took it out. The air/heat/defrost control buttons and slides were just replaced and in great working condition. I think the car would be great for a father son team or even someone looking for their first mopar. I have the reserve at what I would consider a low number. I would be willing to entertain offers and I will be putting the car up for sale locally as well. I would recommend anyone interested in the car come out and take a look. I have nothing to hide and I want you to be happy with the purchase. Please email me with questions and I will reply as soon as possible. To the emailer below...... Tom, I went out to the car just to double check..... If you look at the pictures of the rear passenger side lower quarter there is a brown spot, I just checked it and it is just a spot of surface rust. Not a hole, there are also just a couple blisters in that area. Dennis As I look at a couple of other cars I find it interesting that others put a scoop near their hood and call it a muscle car even though the front of their car looks awkward with it. My car is an actual 1972 Demon (and actually came with that hood) that has an awesome 360 with lots of torque that has actually been driven in the last decade. List from tag, if you know some of the codes I would love to hear what they are. The sun came out today so I was able to pull out the cars and take some outside pictures (the garage is very dark). Anyway this should give you another look at the car with better light. On Jul-20-10 at 07:04:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Just so there are no games of misunderstandings I would like to state the following; ALL 0 or less than 10 feedback will need to call before bidding from this point forward, or I will have your bids removed. I have heard stories of people bidding for entertainment with absolutely no interest in buying the car, so I am trying to be a little proactive. Thank you, Dennis 715-432-9225
