Vehicle Detail
127000 Mostly highway miles. I used this car to travel for back and forth from TN to Ohio and Virginia. Excellent fuel mileage (as much as 35mpg, but always over 30) and very dependable. I've driven it very little since I moved home 2 years ago except for one weekend trip to SC. Fairly new Michelin touring radials (not z-rated) with very good tread. Spare tire is in good condition. Steering and shifting is still tight and the car drives and handles great. This car has traction control, ABS, computer mpg, outside temp, avg mph, mileage remaining on tank. The convertible top has some abrasions and small stains, but doesn't leak anywhere except as noted above. This car does not have a power convertible top. Top is very easy to open and close and works perfectly. I replaced the plastic rear window several years ago. It remains in good condition, but needs some stitching reworked on one small section. BOTH seats are power leather seats with heaters. Driver side seat has some wear. Passenger seat looks hardly used. The center console lid has some wear and the emergency brake handle has a tear on the end (leather). The rear speakers (behind seats) need to be replaced (I have not priced these). Speaker grills need to be cleaned and repainted. I replaced the original business radio with the Dual AM/FM CD with USB and aux port. Stereo also has Bluetooth speakerphone with remote mic. Stereo manual is included. The driver side floor mat could stand a replacement. Under the hood. 1.9L 4cyl DOHC engine is smooth, clean, and runs like a sewing machine. Two sections of the air intake tube need to be replaced in time. Both are available through www.Bavauto.com and will cost under $60 total (part numbers are 13 71 1 433 978 and 13 71 1 433 979). I have most always changed my own oil and filters. I've always run full synthetic Mobil One oil and Mann oil filters. I changed the oil and filter recently prior to a weekend trip to Charleston, SC. I'll include two new Mann oil filters and a new fuel filter. New front brake pads, new rear Bilstein shocks recently installed. Radiator was replaced approximately 4 years ago. Two radiator fins were damaged during installation (see pic), but no problems. This car had rear end damage on right rear due to bump at a stop light. This was a slow moving collision and no air bags deployed. Bumper cover, tailight, and trunk lid were replaced and painted to my satisfaction. The paint match is excellent. No other accidents. The car has normal squeaks and minor paint chips (see photo of largest paint chip on hood, less than 1 cm), road rash (front bumper could stand repainting), small water leak drips along top/window seal during hard or prolonged rain (2 places), BMW roundel emblem on drivers side has some paint missing. Also small drip in trunk around 3rd brake light (needs new 3rd brake light lens). I'll include a small touch up paint cylinder with the car. Nice detailing job just done by Buff Daddy. This car is sold as-is no warranty. Buyer is to assume responsibility for pickup or shipment from Cookeville, TN. Terms are $1000 down within 24 hours of the sale (Paypal OK) and the balance within 3 days by cashier's check or money order. You'll be very happy with this car. It's a keeper, but I need to sell.
