Vehicle Detail
This old babe is up for sale either to a superb body worker or to someone who is stocking up on '76 Seville parts. It is driveable, but, aside from the obvious body issues, needs some other repair. The 350 cid fuel injected engine (114,767 total miles) was running perfectly until the external in-line fuel pump gave out. That problem will be very accessible and relatively cheap to fix. To the very day we parked her, she was getting almost 18 MPG on the highway, and was used often on trips from Houston to San Antonio. In town, she managed to survive well on 15 to 16 MPG. The Sentinel and Auto Dimming features work perfectly. Cruise control works but needs adjustment to smooth it out a bit. The main reason that we've decided to let go of this gal is that we simply cannot keep up with the rusting body and we're tired of watching her decay. We're hoping that someone will be able to save her or put her parts to good use. Plenty of spare items will be included with the car such as: a rebuilt power brake boost (still in box), a rebuilt water pump (still in box), a spare radiator (needs repair), spare tank sensing unit (still in box), spare grille (still in box), brake shoes (still in box), rebuilt A/C compressor (still in box), multiple spare wire wheel covers, spare tail lamps, spare A/C blower motor, spare dash with clock, spare front bumper, original shop manual, and many Cadillac ads and publications, plus the 1976 Texas Dealer Plate that we put on the old gal ourselves. It also sports a replica 1976 inspection sticker. The AM/FM radio works, as does the telescoping antenna. The persistent roof leak allowed for water to enter the passenger compartment and collect, hence the mildewed smell, damp carpet, and beginnings of mold formation. The leather seats are worn and the leather rear seat has been stained from the day we bought the car. Rather than spending hours of time trying to clean and prepare, we'd rather you see her like she is and be aware of the upcoming necessary work should you choose to take her home. If the car is to be driven again, a complete carpet strip-down, air out, ang going over would really be in order. Please be aware that the car is being sold as is, no warranty, and must be towed or trailered home. I've tried to include every detail that I can, but probably left something out. In the event that you should have any questions, please e-mail me with them prior to bidding. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
