This truck was purchased in 2007 by my husband and he has put countless hours and spent several thousand dollars getting her into the great shape she is now. There is still a bit of fit and finish work that can be done, but she is ready to cruise the strip or enjoy a nice drive to Dairy Queen to remember yesteryear. The reserve is extremely low and more than reasonable. The truck is 1951 Chevy 5 window pickup. She has a 454/425 hp big block engine with Edelebrock performance 2.0 manifold and carburetor. She has power steering with a tilt wheel. The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth and fast. A new radiator and electric fan were installed in 2007. The rear end has an 8 ½ inch, ten bolt and there are two manual airbags in the rear that make the ride smooth and enjoyable. New truck arms and a sway bar were installed earlier this year. New drum brakes were installed about a year ago and have less than 500 miles on them. She drives straight and true, riding on a set of BF Goodrich 255/60R15 on the front and 275 60R15 on the rear. The tires are mounted on American Racing Rims. The interior is new with a custom bench seat, new headliner and new carpeting along with new door lock to keep her secure. The big block 454 received a full tune up in May of this year. At that time new spark plug wiring and plugs were installed along with a new gas tank and sending unit, new battery and a fresh set of gauges. The Holley Fuel Pump was re-plumbed with fresh tubing and new fuel filter. She was rewired in 2008 and has no known electrical or mechanical issues. The bed has a custom flame paint job to match the rest of the truck and the tail gate is functional. Wiring for a third brake light is already set, all you need is the brake light of your choice. The headlights are frenched, adding a unique look to this beauty. The truck is a real head turner and will get thumbs up everywhere you go. Again, the reserve price is extremely low for a truck of this quality. You can bid with confidence and know you are getting a high quality classic hot rod. While the tires still have plenty of tread left on them the buyer may want to consider replacing them as they are a few years old. There are no known electrical or mechanical problems and the paint shows well with only a few minor blemishes here and there. The truck has been in the desert heat and garaged since 2007 and rust is not an issue. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, although we are willing to help with getting the truck to shipper here in Las Vegas.
