Vehicle Detail

This car has only had one owner (me), and has been very well cared for. In spite of its mileage it still looks good, runs well, and is fun to drive. I have all the original paperwork for it, including the window sticker, bill of sale, owner's manual, and paperwork on all maintenance. When I bought the car it came with a tape player and I still have the tape player if you'd like it, but the car now has a CD player by Alpine. I bought new Michelin tires at 275,005 miles. It has cruise control and a manual sun roof. No one has ever smoked in the car. Here's everything I know of that's wrong with the car: The windows are power but only the front windows work; nobody ever sits in the back so I didn't see any point in replacing the switches. The car needs a new air conditioning compressor. Wurster's in Franklin, TN quoted me about $1100 for that. (They've taken wonderful care of my car since 1997, when I moved to Tennessee from California.) The motor that makes washer fluid spray onto the windshield doesn't work anymore. The muffler is starting to seem a little noisy. The antenna doesn't retract automatically anymore. The car occasionally, but rarely, hesitates before going into reverse, but this has been true since 1990, so I don't think it's a harbinger of some greater problem. The upholstery welt on the drivers back seat is coming off. If you don't know what a welt is, it's like piping on clothing. This car cannot sit for days on end without the battery dying. You can leave it in the garage hooked up to a trickle charger. If you can't leave it within reach of an electrical outlet, you can flip a switch that Wurster's put on the battery. That keeps the battery from running down. The temperature gauge is erratic, but has never shown a false positive. In other words, it may read as cold when it's warm, but it won't read as hot unless it actually is. Questions will be answered and posted here, good luck and happy bidding. It's never been in a fender bender or accident, never had any body work done, and has its original paint. It's been a garage-stored car, as opposed to one left outside all night. Replace with receiver drier - $1180...Exhaust requires 2 mounting brackets replaced - $225." I just got off the phone with Michael Wurster and he told me the mounting brackets are not a safety issue and don't need to be done right away.
