Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1962 Scout 80 4x4. This truck is a prime example of a rust free Scout that’s been in Arizona its whole life. This scout has had a SOA (spring over axle) conversion done which adds 4” of lift. The front steering arms have been beefed up and the rear axle has been professionally swapped for a stronger Dana 44 by a shop here in town. The tranny/transfer case has been replaced. It is sitting on 31” tires that are essentially brand new. It has custom front and rear bumpers. This Scout runs like a top and the 4x4 works great. It has many new parts including: · Holley carburetor · Alternator (converted from generator) · Front/Rear wheel cylinders · Exhaust · Front and rear drive shafts · Radiator · Clutch · Aftermarket seats including rear seat · Speedometer and fuel/temp gauge · Steering wheel · Windshield Mouse over the arrows to scroll through images. It hasn’t and won’t need any of the usual rust repairs that plague these older trucks. The floors do have some surface rust and pitting but they are still very solid (see the picture from the bottom side). It comes with the full top (has all glass in good shape), bikini top, tow bar, spare tire rack and original back seat (currently has aftermarket seat installed). I have a folder full of receipts for this scout from the previous owner totaling around $4,000. The receipts, line setting ticket and service manual will be included with the sale. Things that the Scout currently could use: · Has functioning headlights and taillights but the turn signals are non-operating · No heater · Windshield wipers don’t work (Rain isn’t a huge issue in AZ) · Passenger side gas tank dripped fuel when I tried to fill it Here is a short walk around video: My scout would make a great truck for someone that just wants to hit the road without having to do a bunch of rust repair. You can drive it while you make modifications and changes. This is a no reserve auction. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. The buyer will be responsible for arranging shipping. Good luck and happy bidding.
