Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a super clean 2001 Ford Windstar SEL purchased by my company in September 2007 with 91,677 miles. It now has 197,125 miles as it was used weekly to transport school children. This van is loaded with a 3.8L V6, 4 speed automatic, power steering/brakes/windows/locks. It has dual power leather seats, dual power sliding doors, power adjustable pedals, back-up sensors, traction control, factory cd player, cruise, tilt, ice cold front/rear air conditioning, and factory 16" aluminum rims. You will receive 3 working chip keys and 2 factory remotes. The back-up sensors do not work, and the 6 disc cd player/changer reads CD error and therfore does not work but the radio works fine. The driver's side sliding door does not open. I just had the lock unfrozen and it opened and closed normally, but it's frozen locked again. There are no trouble lights on the dashboard. The "check engine" light, yellow "abs" light, and red "brake" warning light, are all off. I tested the Ford factory OEM 6" LCD drop-down monitor and video system and it works. Even the VHS player in the center console works and it comes with the original remote. Facing the rear passenger is a control panel for this system: AM, FM, CD, VHS, AUX. There is a video and audio input for your portable DVD player - that's what the AUXilliary is for. There are 2 power ports on this console. This van was clean when we bought it and is even cleaner now after getting it thoroughly detailed inside and out just over a week ago. It smells fresh, looks fresh, and is one of the cleanest minvans around. I have been purchasing Windstars for 7 years and finding one as clean as this is not an easy task. The original engine is clean and smooth running. The NEW transmission shifts smooth and operates as it should even after hours of highway driving. It was just replaced on 10/2/09 at 179,118 miles at AAMCO Transmission - I have paperwork on this. We changed the oil every 3000 - 4000 miles. Just the other day I put brand new wiper blades on it. The engine cradle/subframe was replaced by us this winter. This is a common Windstar problem that you will not have to worry about. This vehicle was recently aligned and it shows. It drives straight as an arrow with a centered steering wheel and has about 75% even tread (front tires) 50% even tread (rear tires) left on 4 mint matching Cooper P215/65R16 tires. The brakes and suspension system are also smooth and responsive. No noticeable rattles or squeaks going down the road. A month before taking this vehicle off the road (March) this vehicle passed a rigid Massachusetts 7D school safety inspection which covers all MA safety items and then some. We have changed out the original alternator at some point and put in a Sears DieHard Gold Battery. As with any van this age, it's not cosmetically perfect. I took pictures of noteable defects which include the following: touched up hood from peeling paint, some peeling paint on roof (no rust), small dent right rear quarter, crack in grille, poorly repaired damage around driver's headlight area from plow hitting van above bumper line, rough areas on front bumper. If you want a showroom condition van, this van is not for you. If you can overlook the imperfections described and shown in the pictures. The paint is super glossy, and the interior is immaculate. Overall, the condition of the van is as good as it looks in the pictures. We are selling this van because we no longer are in the children's transportation business. This is one of 13 Ford vehicles we took off the road. Clean Massachusetts title in hand ready to go. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the sale of the van. Free pick-up at Logan Airport for those flying in to Boston. If for some reason you are not happy with this van when you come to pick it up, I will refund your $500 deposit - no hassle. This is a NO RESERVE auction so happy bidding and good luck!!
