Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is this gently used, well maintained, 1992 GMC Vandura 2500 Auto Form conversion van, with only 91,880 miles, in excellent working condition!! The van runs like new. It has a seating capacity of 7 persons (four captain chairs and one bench in the back which folds down to a bed). THERE ARE NO MAJOR ISSUES WITH THIS VAN AT ALL. No exhaust leaks, does not "burn oil", makes no unusual noises, no leaks, no mechanical issues, shifts seemlessly, etc. IT RUNS LIKE NEW! Nice and quiet and smooth. Apart from the minor issues listed below, the van is in very good condition. It is reliable and starts every time. The only reason we are selling this is because our family size has outgrown the number of seats it has. • V8 5.7L engine, 3/4 ton full size van • Tow package (Reese hitch with 2" receiver) and brake box • Conversion package -- elegant plum/cream colors with wood accents • Chrome trim • Full length running boards • Roof luggage rack with ladder • Spare tire with fiberglass cover • Practically brand new Michelin Cross Terrain tires (Nitrogen filled) (tires have about 3,500 miles on them -- plenty of life left) • Recent (within past 10 months) maintenance includes new ball joints, new muffler and exhaust pipe, front end alignment, new front brake pads, brake fluid changed, all new shocks, and tune-up • Comes from a non-smoking home • Still insured and registered in Kentucky • Clean title Here is a link to view all the pictures of the van. Be patient as they load, because they are large files. http://www.migliacci.com/Van/ IF YOU WANT ANY OTHER PICTURES, PLEASE EMAIL ME. The interior condition is near mint. There are no holes, burn marks, stains, etc. in the seats, curtains, or other fabric. The inside color is a plush plum with cream colored accents. All the interior overhead lights work. All gauges work. It is a conversion van, but NOT a high top. It has the factory installed radio/cassette player and speakers, all in working condition. All seatbelts work. The headliner is like new. One issue with the interior is that you don't need an ignition key to start the van; just turn the switch without a key in it and it'll start right up! I do have the key, however, as it's needed to lock/unlock the doors. Also, the front two side windows do not go up or down, even though they have the electric switch to move them up and down. They are fixed in the up position. The electric door-locks work. The steering wheel tilts. All four captain seats tilt and slide forward and backward. The back bench can move into a bed position. The other thing with the interior is that the air conditioning may or may not work. It is supposed to have rear air conditioning as well, but because we hardly used this van, it wasn't worth it for us to buy more Freon to recharge the system. The heat works, I know, both in the front and rear. But as far as air conditioning, all I can say is at the very least, it would need more Freon to make it blow colder air. Also related to this, the vents always blow in the "defrost" position, even if you move the levers to other positions. The exterior paint is in very good condition, with only a handful of very light rust spots (see pictures). The rust is very superficial; it does not go all the way through the body. The paint still has a gloss to it. The plum colored decal stripes are beginning to peel in some spots. The undercarriage has very little rust considering its age; again, even what rust exists is superficial. (We purposely avoided driving this during the winter months so that it wouldn't be ruined by the salt on the roads, and it worked! The underside is extremely clean.) All the windows are intact and uncracked, but the front windshield has a small stone nick in the glass (not in the driver's line of sight). Both front door windows have a chrome rain shield. The large side glass panels are tinted. The sliding windows on the sides open and close, but are missing the bug screens. The front "triangle vent" windows open and close. The hood has a bug shield. Fairly new Michelin rain wipers work like a charm. The running boards are firm and secure. There are no small dings to speak of, however, there is a large dent in the rear passenger corner of the outside (cannot be detected from the inside). Because of the dent, the back door must be shut very hard to keep rain out, but it does open and close with some muscle. The wheels come with nice and shiny metal rings, (a version of hub caps) (see pictures). This vehicle passed both Missouri and Kentucky vehicle inspections in 2009 and 2010 (that's as long as we've owned it). In summary, the CONS are: • Needs battery. • A/C would need to be recharged. • Ignition switch does not need key. • Front side windows are stuck in the up position. • Dent in back corner. DELIVERY: Upon successful sale, I am willing to drive this van to you if need be, for a rate of $1.00 per mile round trip, plus the cost to put a working battery in it. Both the mileage fee and cost for battery must be paid in advance. Otherwise, you may come pick it up or have it delivered some other way, but be prepared to put a battery in it if you plan to drive it away.
