Here's a car that nobody can believe has 250k miles on it. I'm listing it for a lawyer friend who commuted from Cleveland to Columbus in this car since 2003. I've been running errands in the car for the last month in a half and have been getting 25 miles to the galon--10 better than my 'economy' pick up. It's been serviced regularly byVolvo specialists. It is exceptionally clean for it's age and ridiculously clean for the miles it has gone. It has new Toyo tires all around and the original alloy wheels are in excellent condition--hardly even a curb nick to mention. Good battery and perfect charging system function. The exhaust is quiet and the engine runs out beautifully. The transmission shifts normally to highway speeds and will run all day long at 75 mph with the cruise control on although the torque converter takes a few seconds to build up pressure at start off. It's used no engine oil in the couple thousand miles I've been driving it and feels like a motor with 50k or 80k miles, but not 250k. New space saver spare in the wheel well with original tools. Power seats work, all windows and locks work as do all lights, gages, horn, etc. Stereo has a single play CD, a cassette and a good FM tuner--and better than average speakers and amps. Full disclosure: front brakes should be replacedfront suspension is getting a bit clunky in its old age but still functionsac is not blowing cold, compressor turns and no diagnosed problems, may just need a re-chargesun-roof does not open with the switch; did not investigate furtherthe fan heater motor in the dash runs at slow speed when the key is off and will eventually drain the battery--although I've been driving it daily for weeks and have not had any problems except when I left it for a week I had to jump start it.the driver's seat is worn through at the threshold, the rest of the interior is in good condition not even showing much wear.there is a 'service air bag' warning on the dash info panelthe service interval reminder light is on but no check engine light or other warningsNo reserve, $750 opening bid is meant to cover listing, sales and delivery expenses. Note my feedback covering hundred's of vehicle transactions--for a while I was tied with Mother Theresa but then she checked out so it's lonely at the top. Seriously, I tell you what you're buying. If I miss something even accidentally that is important to you I'll make it right or if you get out here to pick up the car and decide I did not describe it fairly, we'll just call the transaction off and I'll refund your deposit and relist. How's that compared to some of those seller warnings that the FBI will be called immediately if your deposit is 20 min late? john
