Vehicle Detail
This graceful black beauty is absolutely gorgeous. It was a very nice Western car with no rust that was meticulously restored in 1996 by Mastercraft Classic of Palms Springs, CA for Don Donofrio of Salem, Or., where it sat in his Ford dealership showroom for many years. The restoration is still in pristine condition as evidenced by the fact that this car won an AACA Senior award in April 2010. All parts are original to the car - fenders, hood, doors and rumble seat. The underside of the car is almost as nice as the topside. The bottom side of the fenders are metal finished and as smooth as the top. The black exterior has correct cream pinstripes along the sides and on the hood louvers. The wheels are also painted the same cream color. The interior upholstery is brown leather from LeBaron Bonney and shows no wear. The wood grain dash is correct and perfect. The wood in the cowl and the doors are in perfect condition. The doors close flawlessly and the gaps are even all around. The convertible top is also from LeBaron Bonney and is slightly faded. All side curtains and the convertible top boot are present. The motor is the original flathead V-8 with the original aluminum intake manifold and aluminum heads. It shifts and runs great.
