Vehicle Detail

The Winning bid last month was a first time bidder, lived in NY City and thought Seattle was in Washington DC. Do not bid if you do not know where Washington State is, and do not bid if you are not on pay pal. And most of all do not bid if you do not have the funds to buy this car. Call me if you have any questions, Ron 206 235 8741 *** do not bid if you have won less than 2 previous bids on ebay, unless you contact seller prior to bidding*** I have restored many cars over the past 40 years, and this was a project between my son and my self. We discussed what modifications to make, and decided to do it in the "California Style", lowering front & rear suspension, one piece door glass, remove the bumpers and replace with "Nerf Bars", remove the stock rear finders and replacing with early style, adding custom 39 Ford tail lights w/"Blue Dots", custom turn signals, removing all chrome trim, and had it professionally painted "Gloss Black". In addition to this we installed black vinyl running boards, black head liner, new carpets and side panels, front disc brakes, EMPi wheels, and new 195/50R15 tires, black door handles, black antenna, custom window cranks, custom side mirrors, new w/s, all tinted glass and a new 1600 GEX engine. He drove it to school 2 times, and we took it to several car shows. last year i drove it less than 1000 mile, so the total time on the car since restoration is less than 2000 miles. My son is now out of high school and going to college and would rather have the money instead of the car. I had plans to keep it for sunday drives, but i recently bought a new beetle, w/automation, and at my age that seems to be a better idea! Yesterday i took the car to a friends shop and put it on his lift to photograph the under carriage, the pan is rust free like the rest of the car, which is rare for a 37 year old VW. I also took several photos of the engine, top and bottom, to show the low mileage engine. I . If you are interested i do have older photos showing the car thru the restoration to completion. You can call me at 206 322 3444 and leave a message, i will respond with in 24 hours. thanks for you interest, Ron 206 322 3444
