Vehicle Detail
This car was purchased from the long time previous owner and it came out of Oklahoma. A good solid body needing some mechanical attention as described below to make it roadworthy. I has been sitting for the past couple of years. Please consider this a project car, not yet roadworthy but with a little work, you can enjoy the top down. VEHICLE CONDITION BODY: Very solid with no previous signs of any damage. The only rust I found was on the rear valance area, under the bumper. A few scratches and dings in the original paint and body but once again, no wreck damage or rust other than that rear valance. MECHANICAL: When I brought the car here the starter was bad. Replaced it with a good used one I had here. Charged the battery. Got the car running and found the Weber carb is messed up and will need some work. Throttle cable needs replace. Radiator is bad and thermostat may be stuck. I was still able to drive the car down the long drive fast enough to get the overdrive to operate. Brakes were functional but spongy. Clutch worked properly. Previous owner had rebuilt the engine but I have no documentation for such so take this for what it is worth. I adjusted the valves and checked compression. 125 +/- 5 on all four cylinders. Previous owner had put air shocks on the rear. Stainless exhaust and header. INTERIOR: Recoverd previously but not really too well. It is all useable but far from nice. FRAME: Nice with no rust or damage. TOP: It needs one. Hardtop is original and needs restoration. Headliner is off of it as well as the back glass but it is all here and included. I have a good title in my name. If you are arranging shipping with a transport company, please be sure to tell them that all pickup arrangements must be made 24 hours in advance and the car must be picked up before 8 PM. I live on a winding country road and I don't want any loading on it after dark. Pickup of car: This must be done by noon on July 22nd, unless prior arrangements have been made and I agree to them. Failure to pick up the car within this time frame will result in storage fees of $20 per day that must be paid before the car is released.
