You are bidding on a 1972 Mercedes Benz 450SL. This vehicle was assembled in Germany with a 350 motor and shipped directly to the dealership in the US where the engine, suspension etc was modified. A local dealer here has given us the build sheet on this vehicle and informs that a 450 motor was put in when it arrived in the US. This vehicle is in the restoration process. The motor runs strong, as is the transmission and rear end. Motor does not smoke or knock etc. Pictures shown include the hard top. We do have the convertible canvas as well. The interior of the vehicle does need to be reassembled. This vehicle came to us through an unfortunate death. The gentleman was in the process of restoring it when he died unexpectedly.
