Vehicle Detail

1977 AMC Matador Coupe Barcelona I Here is a very sweet original 45,7XX mile Matador. It comes complete with a few nicks and dings from her 33 years of life. All in all, this is an outstanding original car down to the Goodyear polyglas radials. Just for information, this is a Barcelona I package which included the pillow tufted interior, tri-color pin stripe, Barcelona hood ornament and Barcelona emblems. The Barcelona II package added the two-tone paint, landau top and opera windows. I have owned this car for about 8 years. This is truly a rust free survivor. The only rust I have noticed is the battery tray. The previous owner painted the bottom of each rear quarter with rustoleum to prevent rust. I did replace the headliner and have extra material to do the sun visors if desired. The interior is near perfect with no rips or tears. This is a very well equipped Matador including - 360 2V V8 - Automatic transmission - Power steering - Power disc brakes - Air – yes it works - AM/FM radio - Cruise control - Vinyl top - Dual remote outside mirrors - Twin grip differential - Transmission cooler – how rare is that? - Rear air shocks - Turbine style wheels The flaws that I know of are a small dent and scrape in the right front fender (picture included), a dent in the top center of the rear bumper (picture included), cigarette burns on passenger door panel (picture included), speakers cuts out occasionally, a rattle in the left rear interior quarter, fogged rear view mirror (I have a new mirror), pitted right rear quarter window chrome and the wrong mirror or post or base on the passenger side. The paint on the car shines up very well, however, there is something on part of the hood that I believe needs to be lightly wet sanded to be removed. (pictures included) It is under the shine. I did not have the guts to attempt it myself. If you are the lucky winner, a $500.00 deposit is required within 72 hours of the end of the auction. Deposit payment is to be made in cash or money order. Please email if you have any questions.
