Buttawantit Store Description We bought this car in 1992 as a family car. It has never given any major trouble except for subframe bushings. It sat in the garage for some time as we mostly drove our SUV. Well I got tired of it sitting and finally replaced the Subframe bushings myself which was quite easily done. I also have replaced the fuel pump with a brand new higher volume SINGLE fuel pump instead of the Dual nightmare. I am a mechanic by trade and have tested everything in the fuel department from the relays to fuel delivery.New Fuel tank, and Filters have also been installed. New front end parts Center link and left thrust arm bushings. All fine. This is a project car meaning it needs some restoration. It could use a good buffing or paint job which I also paint for an extra amount if you decide. It has a crack down the center of the windshield but it doesn't leak. It needs a new battery and a good tuning. Needs front hood struts. Never had any issues with the electrical system except the old Fan Sword blade speed controller . May possibly need some exhaust work from the Axle back as it has 2 glass packs (New about 2 years ago) but the pipes leading to the packs are thin. Minor issue there. When I bought the car it needed a new fuse box so we replaced it. New headliner. As you know leather doesn't last forever and front seats need recovering to look new. Rear seats are from a 92 750iL and are in excellent shape. Rear passenger windows could possibly use some new or used motors as the cold weather and age over the years has worn. there is an 1/8 inch gap when the rear windows roll up. With assistance they roll completely shut. The Drivers door just started that click sound when opened. Inside bar needs reattaching. The AC works when charged but leaks over the winter season if not run. An R134 seals conversion would be a nice upgrade. Carpet could use a good professional shampooing. This car will make someone very happy once all the details are addressed and someone who has the time to bring it back to what this flagship once was. Mechanically though you can drive this car anywhere and it won't have to be towed as do most 750iL's or parts cars. A little TLC and new home needed.
