Vehicle Detail

Hello: You are looking at a 1936 GMC, model T-14 (half ton) pickup truck. As you can see, this is a "non running", and or "project", vehicle. I purchased the truck last year, because it is a "very rare" truck, and I thought I might attempt to return it to its' original condition. I did collect a few sheetmetal parts for it, like front fenders, grille shell, doors, and some interior panel (cab) pieces, along with a set of 1/2 ton Chevy running boards, hood, and some longer (early 50's I think), 3/4 ton Chevy pickup bedsides. Note: I do not have a tailgate, or end panel, to make up, or complete the box. Also, I did find and purchase an original, complete, front (straight) axle (with leaf springs), and a rear axle (without leaf springs). All of these parts (some pictured and some not), are included with this auction. The sheetmetal I collected, is not in the best of shape, but I'm told it can be repaired (saved) and used, by someone who knows "body work", and doesn't mind a challenge. The cab has had some body work done on it, but still needs some detailed work. It is in pretty solid shape though, and can be restored. The non original, steel floor, was added by someone else. The original gas tank is present, but condition is unknown. When I purchased the truck, the previous owner told me that the only things he knew about the engine and transmission, were that both had been rebuilt by someone else (the previous owner before him). As far as I can tell from the numbers off of the engine, it should be a 350 engine, from a late 60's, or early 70's Chevy. Again, the engine looks to be rebuilt, (very clean inside and out), but never quite finished or attempted to start up by anyone. As you can see, the engine is not complete, and what you see here, is what comes with it. No "extra" engine, or mechanical parts. Sorry I do not have much more information to offer than that. The current front axle (5 lug hubs), is from an early 50's Chevy, 1/2 ton pickup truck, while the rear axle (also 5 lug hubs), is from an early 70's, Chevy Nova. The truck rolls and steers, but something must be hooked up backwards, or ?, as the trucks steers, or turns in the opposite direction that you turn the steering wheel. (Weird). I will also include a set of (non original) bucket seats that came with the truck. Origin unknown, but in very good shape. I do NOT have a title for the truck, but I will furnish a "Bill of Sale" to the new owner. PLEASE NOTE: After the end of the auction, I would like the truck and all parts moved as soon as possible. I can store everything for 30 days or less, but everything must go by July 31st. I will be losing my storage area. I'm sure there will be lots of questions, and I will try and answer any and all, as best I can, with the limited knowlege I have of this "project". Good Luck to all bidders and thanks for looking at my auction.
