Forget about Stock, Dollars, and Euros. Now is the time to invest in Muscle Cars. 1977 Mercedes Benz 240D Here is a very cool 1977 Mercedes Benz 240D Diesel. With a 4- Speed manual transmission. Please check out all the pictures and the video below. This seems to be a good running car. I am selling it NO RESERVE because I am Over run with Older Mercedes and out of room!! The transmission and clutch seems to be strong in the car. The only thing that I found is that you have to get out and push the stop switch on the motor to get the car to turn off. Other then that I can't find anything else wrong with it. Seems to be a really good car that with a little bit of work could be a nice car. The exterior of this car Looks good. It even has the factory color matching hubcaps with the chrome lip. Some of the chrome on the front bumper is damaged. The body of this car is straight. There are a couple of door dings and stuff like that but nothing major. There are some rust spots on the trunk lid and on the back passenger pillars of the car that need to be addressed at some point because they are allowing water to get in the car when it rains so this should be addressed before it gets damaged. The rubber around the windows is cracking which is very common on these old cars. Besides those few little things this is a very good clean car. I have LOTS of Emails asking can you drive a car like this to Florida Kentucky New York Etc Etc.. While straight away the answer is yes.. Its a old car and a trip that far might not have happened in 10 years if ever Belts Hoses Fuses etc etc WHO KNOWS... i think it will go anywhere but when you need a $3 hose in the middle of texas and its a 4 day wait youll hate me and your car possibly OVER $3 please consider what your doing and be mechanically inclined if your driving a Classic across country! This 240 should serve you for quite a long time and the car is as is and smog & state fees and tax etc are all on the buyer this is a auction and who knows what country or state its going to. there is NO RESERVE i just cant bring myself to tear it apart to harves the $3000 to $4000 in parts cause its a good car in a Rare package... This car does have power windows, a 4-Speed manual transmission, and THE ULTIMATE RARE OPTION FACTORY A/C WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. The seats are in good shape. The carpet inserts are pretty much gone and can be replaced cheap ($25-$100) easily. There is parts of the carpet inserts left in the front but none left in the back. The sun has gotten to parts of the dash and tops of seats which has caused some cracking as you can see in all the pictures. If you are looking for a good running good gas mileage little car that just needs some fixing up to be a very nice car, this is the one for you.
