Vehicle Detail

1977 Ford Club Wagon. Purchased by my father in 1996 with 112923 miles. odometer reads 35168 now. The title says 169393, though. My Bride went to switch the title over at the motor vehicle and didn't know the mileage so she guessed. But thats my fault for not having the info when she went! (so says her) He used it as an everyday driver to and from work (about 4miles round trip). All original equipment which has been maintained fairly well. It has a V-8 (351 i believe) and an automatic transmission. Was not factory equipped with Air-conditioning but the heat works o.k. Tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left. Manual locks, windows, seats, etc. Comes with 2 long bench seats that bolt down. They are currently in the basement and are in great condition! No rips or tears that I could see. Also comes with new radiator, remanufactured alternator, used spare taillight lenses and minor parts. Extra long and 2 square windows with rubber trim also included. It runs and drives. I have driven it from maryland to New Jersey when my father signed it over to me in Sept. of 2009. Since then I have taken it up North (R.I.,Mass.,Conn.) several times and back to pick up/deliver heavy items. I recently purchased a full size pick-up and being that the kids are about to drive, I need all the parking spaces I can get! They certainly wouldn't get caught dead driving this thing! (so they tell me). Good things: It starts and drives! That is certainly a good thing. Has good tires, brakes, cooling system. I have some paperwork which has either parts or service that my father had taken care of. Some of the problems: Mind you, this is a 33 year old vehicle. windshield has minor crack and leaks on driver corner. Has rust of course. I dare not push on some of the spots. Frame seems o.k. i cant see any areas that are severely rusted through, just surface. Needs high beam switch (floor-foot operated). Need this switch for headlights to work. All other lights working. Transmission pauses before going from D to R or vice versa. Has been like this for several years and has not become worse. People tell me to change fluid, others say its some sort of modulator valve? I don't know. Just something I dealt with and didn't seem to mind. Details still under construction. Any questions you have, please ask. I am on everyday and will give an answer. (in the p.m. after dark) I dont want thousands for the vehicle, I just need it removed from the parking spot! It will make it a long distance. Believe you me, I have taken the chance to drive far with him and he has not let me down. i feel confident now when we have to cover some distance now. Will sell to current bidder at the time i see I have bids!!!
