1997 GMC Sierra 2500 4x4 Diesel Auto Up for sale is my '97 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 truck with the 6.5 Turbo Diesel engine. This has been my work truck for about a year now. It has been great but I have a new truck on the way to replace this one. I have recently spent about $2500.00 on the engine. I put brand new recasted heads on along with all necessary gaskets and what not. Along with the heads, I put new glow plugs and glow plug controller. I put 2 new injectors in, as well. The engine was compression checked by my mechanic when work was being done and cylinder pressure was on par for stock requirements, so we did not replace bottom end. This engine runs good since the repair. I have also added a few items: bed rail caps (they have some holes and scuffs, but look good), towing package with brake controller in the cab and hookup for 4 flat and 7 blade out back, new tires with only 2,000 miles on them (285 / 75 R16), tinted windows, window visors, etc... I have noticed since the weather has warmed up that the A/C needs a charge every so often, but when charged, it cools right. This thing always starts in cold weather without having to plug it up. The exterior has been repainted at some time in it's life and looks good. The body has a small amount of waves when looking down the side, but nothing abnormal for this model truck. I like to point out all I know and see about a vehicle so that the buyer is not surprised. This truck overall is in good condition for the year and miles and considering it is a working truck, I think it's damn nice. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it over the past year! Needless to say, I was proud to drive it and I'm sure a new owner will be too. Also, there is absolutely no rust anywhere on this truck to be found, which is very nice. I guess it was treated when new or something, because as most of you know, this model truck has a few notorious spots (cab corners, rockers, etc...), but this truck has none anywhere!
