This one is for all you Ford Fans out there!!!! This is a nice FJ40 it has had a ton of time and money put into it. I am selling it for the owner who brought it into my shop to have me do some finish work on it. He has desided it is time to part ways with his baby. THE GOOD: The FJ has a nice 302 ford motor in it. The owner thinks it has less than 10 thousand miles on it. The motor starts right up and purs like a motor with low miles on it. The transmition is a four speed I am faily sure it is the origanal toyota trans, I was told it was rebuilt at the same time as the motor. Axles are toyoda, it has new hubs. It has had all the rust spots on body cut out, and replaced with new metal. The inside of the tub was coated with POR 15 (The best rust preventative). Most of the undercaiage was coated with por 15 and under coating was applied on top of that. The motor swap was done well. It has a new clutch and clutch master cycinder. The rear lights are L-E--D, The blinkers all work and the horn is working. The trans shifts smoth and it drives down the road strait. I had it on the freeway and it ran strait and smoth. It comes with a bikini half soft top, it has half solf doors that come with it. It also has a manual and a box full of parts. ( new mirrors and front nuckel rebuild part ect) The pant is a flat bed liner type of paint. It is like Durabak, you can look them up on the internet. It is shinny and it should protect the truck for a long long time. The owner wanted to use the truck for up in the hills hunting ect, that is why we used the bedliner type of paint. He did not want it to look like bedliner, He wanted it to still look good driving around town. THE BAD The land cruser is 98 percent done but needs a few minnor things done to finsh it up. The paint looks great and will protect the vehical for a long, long time. how ever when you are up close it looks like a not very good macco paint job. It has a few runs and has a little texture to it. It is shinny and a nice color and I think it looks good. Once again this paint was used to prevent rust in the future and to have a toughf finish. We have had several complements even by local painters on the finsh, In the interest of full discloser however it is not a show truck paint job and has inperfections. The front head lights need to be replaced, or a fuse or swithch something to work. It needs the four wheel drive linkage installed. Every thing is there for the fourwhele drive to work I think it may work and they owner was just using the hubs to put it in and out of four wheel drive. Top needs to be bolted down and it needs windsheild wiper blades it has no head liner on the inside. Reverse works but has a seperate lever it looks like it just needs to be hooked up to the shifter and will work better. It may need a few other minor things. I will keep working on the truck tell the end of the auction so I may be able to address some of these issues. THE GOOD: Over all this FJ40 has had alot of time and work put into it. It has had all the hard stuff done, The motor workes great and it is a geat project. Do a little work and have a rig that is worth way more than you payed. We have had lots of positive comments and a few people wanting to buy it as it has been down at the shop. If you have any questions please ask.
