Vehicle Detail

I bought this car new in February 1989. It's never let me down in the 21+ years that I have owned it. It's not perfect but is in good shape for it's age. I believe an enthusiast would be able to bring this diamond in the rough back to its former glory. It still runs, drives, and rides well and has never been modified in any way. New Monroe quick struts all the way around about a year ago. The body is in decent shape with no visible rust on the exterior. The paint is not faded anywhere and still shines very well. Some rust is starting at the door seams (especially the passenger door) but is not rusted through. There are a couple of small dents and numerous scratches all around (I have three kids with bikes). Interior is also in pretty good shape. The seats are leather and show little wear except for driver's seat. It is not torn or ripped though. There is some sun damage on the top of the rear seats. Carpet has some stains but most could probably be detailed out. The motor always starts right up and runs strong. It does not smoke at startup or otherwise. The timing belt and water pump have been replaced within the past year. There are no known issues with the motor. The transmission shifts smoothly but there is a little noise with the clutch. Been this way for the last 5-6 years without any problems. Just letting you know. Tires have a lot of tread left. Known defects with the car are mostly electrical in nature. The cruise control no longer works. The radio no longer works. The climate control system has failed and been diagnosed as a blend door problem. With all this being said, I would not hesitate to drive this car from one coast to the other. In its present state, however, you would have to leave the windows down, keep your foot on the throttle, and listen to the wind ( or an IPOD). That's what I do! I will post and answer all questions about this car as requested. I can also be contacted @ 317-443-9375 with questions. I do have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction upon sale via other means.
