This rare 1983 4 Speed Automatic is in fabulous condition and ready for anything! In contrast to the above it is a newly rebuilt 6 cylinder engine with less than 2000 miles. New Weber Carb. I purchased it off ebay 2 years ago, and was quite misled by the seller. So we started from scratch and fixed it. The motor was completely redone! The pictures show it all. I wanted to keep it as original as possible - so it's clean, largely stock, with no leaks. I have all the records, parts, etc for review and transfer. There are a few paint chips on the body, but no frame rust or underbody rust. Just look at the pictures. What you see is what you get. I stripped down the interior tub and applied linex type coating. It's clean and will never rust. This stuff is so hard - it was difficult to drill thought for the speakers. I replaced all the window seals, as well as the front windshield seal. The windshield goes down easily, though I fastened it after resealing. The stereo is new with cassette as well a a 12 CD changer located in the console. Fully function - works perfectly. There are 4 new Skyjacker shocks, as well as steering stabilizer. We also put a new rear axle in this year, as well as new rear seat belts (I squeezed three in). Everything works in this jeep. All lights, heating, vents, tachometer, etc. Manual 4 wheel drive worked great in major mid-atlantic snow this winter. There is also a brand new Best-top cover, an older bikini top, soft doors, and full steel doors. The steel doors do have a bit or rust on the bottom. It can be driven anywhere the day you receive it and it does catch peoples eyes!.
