1981 Lancia Zagato Special Edition. Black and gold with black leather interior. These cars are very rare and not many are on the road today. It attracts a lot of attention at every car show I take it to. It has just shy of 90,000 original miles, but less than 2,000 miles since complete mechanical rebuild which included engine, transmission, suspension, and steering rack. The steering rack has developed a leak again that has not been repaired. The original interior is in very good condition with a single small tear developing in the passenger seat. The exterior is in need of minimal body work and a repaint to complete the exterior. Air conditioner and heater work great. At the moment, it does not start. I had it out at a local cruise night recently and it worked just fine. I’m sure the starting problem is something simple, but I am not a mechanic and don’t know where to even look for the problem. I am selling this car because I can only have one toy and I need something more current and reliable for daily use. This car is an absolute blast to drive and sounds great with a glass-pack muffler. I am selling the car at no reserve over the price I have started the bidding at. I think this is an extremely fair price considering the work that has been done to it. I will include with the car all spare parts, a nice collection of original sales brochures and magazine articles, as well as a photo CD of the mechanical work that was done to the car. The actual VIN is 828BS4202038 as stamped on a brass plaque at the base of the windshield. The all zero VIN was entered because the Ebay form did not recognize the actual VIN and I kept getting error messages while setting up this ad.
