For sale is a clean 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Split Bumper sport coupe. The car has been repainted and equipped as a Z28 clone. Perfect for a touch up project car!The car is painted Red w/ Black Z28 stripes w/ Black Z28 wheels, Chrome Split Bumpers, and the engine to back it up. The engine is a 383 cubic inch stroker motor achieved with a 350 cubic inch Block and a 400c.i. machined crankshaft. The motor is topped with Iron Eagle heads with 202 Valves.The heads have been ported and polished to match the intake runners. The camshaft is a 255,Competition Cams custom grind cam with .575 lift and 300 duration. The engine is also equipped with Comp Cam's Roller rockers and roller lifters and topped with a 750 Holley Carb ran by a HEI Distributor with a Hypertech coil pack. The car is equipped with an electric fuel pump and electric fan as well.This potent 400+ HP engine has been backed with a TCI built TH350 w/ a 4000 stall converter and Hurst pro-matic 2 shifter. Getting the power to the ground is a 4.11 geared 10 bolt with Posi. The headers have been ceramic coated inside and out with dual 3" exhaust all the way back with a flowmaster H pipe and 2 chamber mufflers dumped behind the rear tires. The motor has a little over 1500 miles since the build and runs strong with no smoking or issues. A video is below to verify this.The suspension has been refinished with new urethane body bushings, lower and upper control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, tie rods ends with new link bushings, and new rear leaf spring bushings. The brake system was also refinished with new Calipers, rotors, and new master cylinder with new hoses. The inside is in great shape with new carpet and the upholstery on the seats is in great shape with no noticeable tears or rips. The gauge area on the dash was refinished with Auto-meter gauges. The car is equipped with a Kenwood stereo, while the A/C and Heater were pulled in favor of the all natural air to save weight and power. The original dash also have heat cracks throughout and a carpet dash pad has been places on it. The car has retained the original Body by Fisher rocker kick plates. The exterior of the car is in good shape overall with a gorgeous shining red and black stripes paint job. There are a few noticeable flaws such as a bubble spot on the hood and a 6-7" crack on the front of the hood, right of the stripes as shown in the pictures and a 2" crack next to the driver side light (as shown). The car also has 2 small (2-3") stress cracks behind the top of the door windows and a small ding in the rear quarter no bigger than a nickel. The car was purchased roughly 8 years ago from the previous owner, and then is when the car was re-worked. Overall the car is in great shape mechanically and cosmetically, inside and out, given its age. The engine was redone 1500 miles ago while the exact mileage of the body is unknown but the previous owners estimates around 75k. The car is 99.9% rust free with no rusting in the trunk area and only a few small bubbles behind the rear tires as shown in the pictures. The car sounds great and turns heads everywhere followed by huge grins and numerous thumbs up!
