I just bought this last month with the intentions of making some money. I have sold a dozen old trucks in the last 2 years. Since I got it, I have had some serious medical problems and am forced to sell it. I will start it at below cost with no reserve. There's some good money to be made here or keep it and enjoy it~! First I will describe it: Short bed, nice bed - been redone a few years ago, but not roted. Could use a coat of poly, though. Engine is a mid 70's buick 350 small block, trans is automatic 350. Frame is from an olds same vintage. Very well done conversion. All guages work except the fuel guage. YES the speedometer works FINE!!!! Needs a few things done to make it a show truck, or just drive it and enjoy it as it is. Has almost new 60series wide tires on aluminum rims, they are super nice! Now for what I found after i got it- they said the carb needed rebuilt, but it is fine. It wouldn't idle well when I got it. We found that it was full of contaminated fuel. We flushed the lines and cleaned the sending unit. It runs very well! I had it up to 65 with a friend behind me and he said the speedo was pretty accurate. It will need a new sending unit for sure (available from classic parts or lmc for about $35). The old one is pretty rusted. Looks like it sat fot a time and the fuel went bad as well as the sender rusted. The fuel filter was clogged and that was what caused it to idle poorly. After driving it a couple days, it is getting sluggish again, so I am sure the gas tank needs to be drained and flushed out. I expect a new sending unit might fix the tank guage, too? There is a power steering line that needs to be replaced. It's pretty well available at any napa or advance store for around $17. The drivers door glass is cracked as well as the rear glass. Both are available through calssic restorers for about $25 each (I will include their latest catalogs for you). cracks that you could live with for a while as they don't leak or pose any dqanger. Has newer rubber seals on doors. The paint is fair. Could be buffed out or maybe even touched up here and there. Body is pretty wll rust free. No major dents or problems. needs a floor mat. headliner and door panesl are orig, and not too bad. This truck with a few cosmetic things done would sell for twice what it will bring here!
