1986 K2500 Suburban I have restored this suburban for the purposes of keeping it forever. We all know how that goes. My little wife is sick of loading the kids into their car seats. That is the only reason of selling. 2 months ago I had the engine replaced with a 28k mile military 6.2L diesel. Everything was converted from 24V to 12V. Compression on each cylinder was above 570 which is exceptional considering brand new engines come at 600. I have only since put 1,000 miles on engine. Runs great. I had a manual push button Glow Plug button installed to heat up the plugs quicker to help with starting in cold. Transmission is the TH400. It was rebuilt before I bought it. Roof has a spray on bed liner to help with heat in summer and also is great for loading up camping gear or putting rafts, canoes or anything else you want to throw up there. I weigh just under 200 lbs and can walk up there with no worry of denting roof. Bed liner is 1/4 thick. That stuff is amazing. Makes everthing a lot stronger. I repainted it last fall. Off road lights in front are HID (High Intensity Discharge) These lights have no bulbs. They are extremely bright and light travels as far as 11/2 to 2 miles. You will get flashed by oncoming traffic until they are turned off. Trust me I know. Grill is brand new. Tires are Pro Comp All Terrain and wheels are Ballistic Off Road. Tire size is 35x12.50 and tread is 95%. It has a 4" suspension lift by Pro Comp. I have not really done anything to the inside except new CD player IPOD acceptable, speakers, DVD player. Stereo is crystal clear. So movies are very fun to watch. DVD player is XBOX or Playstation ready. You will see in picture. Seats are extremely clean. They had seat covers on them all their life and I just recently took them off. Except for the front seat. Front seat is just as clean as rear seats. Vehicle before power train was replaced had 240,000 miles on it. Nothing to worry about now since everything major has been replaced. Should go another 300,000 miles easily. I get 19 MPG with this beast. Gotta love diesels. I am no hurry to sell it so will not accept low ball offers. Thank you for understanding. Great Rig and would drive it around the world if I could.
