Here is some history about the car: This car was originally delivered to George Matick Chevrolet and they sold it to Les Stanford Chevrolet in Michigan. It was on display at RM Classics in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The vin is correct and it is a numbers matching car. (See pics of engine block numbers). The vin ends with #5069 which means it was one of the last built-probably the 3rd week of April 1969. These cars were built by hand and have a historic value. There are a number of brand new 1969 Corvairs that were saved because dealers recognized that this car would never be built again. This is one of just 6000 cars produced in the Corvair’s final year of production. It is the two door 500 Sport Coupe with rear engine and it was one of the most popular models at the time. The interior is just like brand new from the factory. Dash and floors are perfect. Seats look like they were never sat in. Car was preserved and well kept over the years. Motor and transmission are excellent. Engine starts with one click and is quiet and smooth. Gear selector knob is on dash. Even the levers on the air vents are as new and look barely touched. The tires are Bias Ply Uniroyal Laredo 7x13 tires in excellent condition.After close inspection of the components of the car you can see the originality.
