Vehicle Detail

For your consideration today is my beautiful 1995 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible. This car has been kept in storage and only driven occasionally on nice days. Having too many cars, and the up coming loss of storage, I regretfully have chosen to sell this one. I can assure you that this car is ready to go anywhere. A daily driver to really enjoy the summer months, or if your like me, you'll want to preserve this beauty as there are getting fewer of them around in this condition. My loss is certainly your gain here. First, I need to say that I have receipts to show the things I have done to the car to make it look so good. I purchased the car locally with 49,579 showing on the odometer back in '07. I had paint work done to the front bumper area to remove the chips, had the white wheel centers repainted, and had the body side moldings refinished with new graphics by a reputable body shop. The beautiful white leather interior was flawless with the exception of a small stain on the front edge of the drivers seat, and the usual rub marks from use on this seat only. I could not remove it, so I installed the custom seat covers pictured. With or without them, the interior looks great though. The doors and trim are in excellent condition. Carpet is excellent. I then had the original white convertible top removed and replaced with this brand new black top with a glass window and rear defroster. The top has been treated with protectant, and has hardly ever been in the sun since, so this is as new as you can get! The convertible top motor works perfectly. I replaced the passenger side rear window motor with a new unit, as this one was "intermittent", and now ALL windows are fully functional. All other functions work perfectly, cruise control, power windows, power seats, defogger, power door locks, lights, signals, horn, interior lights. The air conditioning blows very cold, and has never been a problem. Heater works fine also. Mechanically, this car has always worked fine. It has a current PA inspection. The engine compartment is clean and in order as it should be. The exhaust system still looks like new, as does the entire underneath of the car. The only thing I ever did was to put 4 new tires on it right after I bought it. So theses tires only have about 1500 miles on them! Yes I am a little fanatical with my cars, even the ones I rarely drive! Ok, so what else might I have done to make this a "special" car? Well turns out I'm a music fanatic also, so I spent an entire winter in my garage at home installing a custom top of the line stereo system in it. I wanted to make it sound fantastic acoustically, use only quality equipment, and especially do as little as possible to change the look of the interior. I believe I have accomplished that goal. I carefully disassembled the interior, and keeping all the original wiring in tact, installed a high end DVD player, Satellite radio(that is the antenna on the rear center of the trunk lid, just a magnet), a custom rack in the trunk with 2 amps and a 10" sub woofer. Also , I installed a high speed quiet fan unit that works off a relay to keep the amps cool when they are on. The amp assembly is firmly mounted in the trunk and can not move around, so there is no chance of damage and no rattles. I do have all the receipts from Crutchfield on this equipment. Just in case you wonder what is in there here it is: Head unit is the JVC KD-AVX11 DVD player. Of course it will play just about anything you put in it. I honestly just wanted to play my music videos in it, that is why I got the DVD player. Most of the time I just play CD's.Satellite radio is the Sirius unit, that plugs in to the compatible head unit. The Sirius interface box was custom mounted behind the glove box door and tucked in out of the way. Front and rear speakers are the Polk Audio SR-5250 5.25" component system. (Fantastic)In the dash, behind the factory dash grills, I installed the Infinity Kappa 3.25 speakers. In the trunk, I believe the sub is a JL Audio sealed carpeted enclosure. I tried 3 different subs in it till I was happy with the sound. The amps are: Alpine MRP-F550 for the speakers, and Clarion APX 1300 for the sub. And, believe it or not, the entire factory stereo could be put right back in. All wiring is to spec for the power of the system. All wiring was soldered and shrink wrapped, and labeled. Any exposed wiring was wrapped in protective wire wraps. And to help protect the system, (even though looking in the car you would never know it has all that equipment), is an after market alarm system. The alarm system works as it should, and works off the key fob. Honestly, I am not located in a high crime area, and I just use the hidden "valet" mode toggle switch when I take her out. It will wake anybody up though when the alarm goes off! It locks the doors, siren, flashing lights etc. And , now for the list of problems...... don't worry there are only 2 things, and hopefully you will not find them too bad. First, recently I noticed the little black cardboard strip that rides in the shifter console cracked. It is still there, but half of it gets pushed back when the shifter is placed in drive,(like it supposed to), but then does not return with the shifter when it goes in park position. Not a very big deal, I know. If I stick my finger in the slot, I can pull it back into position. It just ripped at the hole where the handle goes through it. The other issue that might disturb some, is the spare tire location has been blocked by the amps. I have the original spare, just could not fit it into the trunk with everything else. I just take my cell phone with me, and would call AAA if something would happen to one of my new tires. With some effort, the amps could be moved to just allow the tire to go back in there. So there you have the whole thing. Good and bad. I have tried to disclose any issues I know of. This is a beautiful car, as nice as you'll find, with a $3,000.00 stereo system in it, a $1,000.00 new top, new tires, inspected, and ready to go. I will not give this away by any means, but I will price it more for the car and less for the stereo, as I know I can't expect to recover my costs. This car, even though it is just fine, will be sold as is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I will expect a $500.00 deposit at the close of the auction, payable via Paypal, or cert. bank check. Balance expected within 7 days of auction close. In person. Pick up will be up to the buyer, and you will have no more than 30 days to pick it up, due to the storage issues. Please do not bid on this unless you are serious about purchasing it. If you have neg. feedback, or no feedback, please send me a message before bidding. Thank you , and Happy Bidding!! Russ
