Vehicle Detail
1973 Hondal CL350 Scrambler. This bike is in unusually great condition, I looked for over a year before finding this one for my wife. Only 5,803 miles since new, we are the second owners and the previous owner, like ourselves, always kept it stored inside a heated garage. What is particularly uncommon about this bike is how nice all the chrome and aluminum is. Its not hard to find these bikes with low miles, since they were not designed for heavy road use, but what is unusual is to find the aluminum cases and chrome trim to be in such great shape and free of oxidation. What drove me crazy in my search was trying to find a low mile bike that had engine cases that were really nice as well. Most, regardless of the miles had a good amount of surface oxidation and I looked long and hard to find this one which does not. The gauge faces are all in great shape as well as the seat. The clutch and brake levers still have the OEM plastic covers on them and aren't even scraped up. While I wouldn't call this bike showroom or concours (I've owned vintage bikes that were), I would definately rate it in the top 5-10% of like model scramblers out there . The bike runs great and has new tires and tubes as well as a new battery with less than a 100 miles on them. Now for the slight flaws that are noteworthy. The tank has a couple of dings and scrapes from things bumping it while stored in the previous owners garage. Its sad to to see a bike become a shelf when stored in the garage too long. If the successful bidder likes, I will offer to have the tank professionally refinished for $100. On the upside, the interior of the tank is great and unlike most, not rusty or refinished. There is a small amount of lifting on the chrome pipe on the interior top side, not noticable unless really looking for it. I'm selling this bike beacuse its just too big for my wife, she doesn't take naturally to motorized bikes anyway so I'm looking to sell and then buy her a real nice CT110. If you have one '81-'86 model, I would be interested in a partial trade as long as it was in like condition. Please feel free to email with any questions. Happy Bidding!
