1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 4 Speed This beautiful 1970 Chevelle is a REAL Super Sport and head turner!!! This car was purchased in Eugene, Oregon and transported by carrier to Mundelein, Illinois i 2005. All photographs are current and taken on My 5, 2010. This Chevelle SS runs and drives spectacular and has breathtaking performance. Very fun to drive, powered by a performance built 396 V8 engine (front pad TO407CTX) putting out over 400 horsepower. This car has a smooth operating Muncie 4-speed manual transmission (3925660), factory 12-bolt posi-traction rear end (513969278NF), 3:31 gears, F41 suspension package, and also includes stainless steel exhaust system with Lumpy Cam and Dual Chambered Flowmasters to make this one of the best sounding big block Muscle Cars. The interior is in excellent condition with a majority of it replaced in 2007; including a new headliner, rear seat cover, rear moldings and side panels, door panels and head rest covers. The front bucket seats were rebuilt and reconditioned as well. Electric clock also replaced in 2007. Other options on this car include the factory SS package with dual sway bars, gauge package, disc brakes, 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, power steering, bulge hood with stripes, bucket seats, tinted glass, windshield with antenna, vinyl roof, rubber floor mats, shoulder harnesses, new spare tire and wheel with cover, and SS wheels. All metal is in excellent condition. The original color was White with Black stripes, but it has since been painted with Radiant Fire Red paint with Black stripes and then coated with a base clear that makes this car look absolutely stunning from every angle. Included with the upgraded performance this car also has an aftermarket racing style tachometer and gauge package. The car also has an aftermarket AM/FM radio with cassette player. Also included is an original owner's manual, a reprint issue of the assembly manual, some miscellaneous spare parts, and a custom fit polycotton cover. I also have an additional cowl induction hood that is in good condition that is White with Black stripes which I will include with the winning bid if requested by the purchaser, but any shipping costs' are the responsibility of the purchaser. On May-31-10 at 11:09:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I need to add a possible correction on the front pad number. The number may actually be T0403CTX. Also would like to note the original gauge package is still included in the dash, although transferred to the aftermarket gauges. The tachometer is the original factory 3 screw mounted gauge, not an aftermarket replacement.
