Vehicle Detail
I don't want to sell my toy, but cutbacks at work force me to:( I can no longer afford to use it so here is your opportunity! 1984 Jeep CJ7 it has the 150CID 4cylinder, the T-4 transmission, the Dana 300 transfer case, the Dana 30 front axle with a Tru-Trac limited slip, the AMC 20 rear axle with a lock-right locker. It had a complete restoration 5 years ago. Since then it has seen less than 2000 miles drive time. I almost never drove it on the street. I trailered it where ever I took it off roading. Tires are 33" THORNBIRDS, and the lift is a 4" suspension lift by SUPERLIFT. I have converted it to power steering using a 16:1 ratio saganaw power steering box, a 2" drop pitman arm and custom power steering lines. I sourced the power steering unit from a 4.3 V-6 Jimmy. I rebuilt the transfer case and the axles. I installed 4.88:1 ring and pinions front and rear. The Transmission is a new T-4 unit from MANTRANS. It was installed when I reinstalled the transfer case and the axles. I was installed with a complete new clutch assembly also. The motor runs strong and there are no leaks from anywhere on this jeep. I installed an electric fan sourced from a police edition crown vic and customized the schroud to fit as well. The fan is run on a switch located on the dash. There is a Roll-cage installed over the front seats, but must be extended to cover the rear seat for people to ride in the back at parks. All seats are new. The interior is RYNO-LINED for easy cleaning. I took very good care of it by changing the fluids (axles, transfer case, and oil) every time it went off roading. I have an extra transfer case, alternator, 2 additional rims, spare tire carrier, 2 soft top doors, and a bikini top with a small tear that must go with the jeep. The frame is solid and the body shows virtually no real rust yet. This jeep will climb the steepest hills and the winch will pull it through the deepest mud. It can easily run 3 foot deep water and has gone deeper on several occasions. It has never stopped amazing me and I know it will suprise even the most experienced off roader. It can be a daily driver with a little as it will run 65-70mph pretty easy, and the speedometer is correct! NOW THE BAD The fuel gauge does not work. I never fixed it because I was going to convert it to propane. I even have the forklift tank already and if you want it I will let you have it with the jeep. The previous owner installed an aftermarket windshield wiper motor. All the original linkage is there just not an original motor. I ussually took the windshield off to go off roading so it never bothered me. The motor does blow some blue smoke when first started, but it is a reliable strong running motor still with lots of life. If converted to propane it would probably last forever without being rebuilt. The electrical could use some cleaning up. It could use another fuse block for the terminations of the accesories such as the 9000lbs winch, CB radio, cooling fan, and the fog lights. The paint is not perfect and there are scratches and minor dings here and there, but nothing major. Due to the fact that I really need the money I am going to let it go cheaper than its worth. If you need it transported I maybe willing to trailer it within a reasonable distance. I can also assist in securing a transport company to haul it, but if a transporter is used I would need all the money cleared by my bank before allowing it to be loaded for transport. The winning bidder will need to contact me by email for an address at which to overnight a $500.00 deposit and the remainder of the funds can be paid in cash when it is picked up. If I am to deliver it then I would need the $500 and the additional delivery funds up front. Then when I arrive to drop off the jeep the remainder would need to be in my hand (cash) before being unloaded. If I am delivering it I will not accept cashiers checks, or money orders for the final payment due to the possibility of them being fake so have cash in hand please. Happy bidding and good luck! Thank you for looking! I am not going into the details for which caused me to have to relist, but please only bid if you are prepared to overnight the funds as stipulated in the above paragraph and follow through with the purchase. thank youOn May-26-10 at 06:47:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I don't want to sell my toy, but cutbacks at work force me to:( I can no longer afford to use it so here is your opportunity! 1984 Jeep CJ7 it has the 150CID 4cylinder, the T-4 transmission, the Dana 300 transfer case, the Dana 30 front axle with a Tru-Trac limited slip, the AMC 20 rear axle with a lock-right locker.
