1960 Rambler American Custom 2- door Of the 120,000 Rambler Americans sold in 1960, only 2994 were Custom 2- door cars. The top of the line Custom model was introduced halfway through the 1960 model year and sported a greater level of exterior and interior trim and included the 195.6 CID OHV engine from the bigger Ramblers, instead of the older L-Head version. It has a three speed manual transmission ;" three on the tree". The 1960 model was the last year of the three year run for this body style. This car, "Rosie" spent a lot of its life in Florida. Even though it was the custom model, it was ordered with no options. Sometime in its life, the interior was customized with white carpet throughout including the trunk. The car is very clean and is in excellent condition inside and out . It runs well. The Odometer shows 43000 miles, however, I can't certify that that's the accurate mileage. An owners manual and a technical service manual is included with the car.
