I am selling my amazingly reliable 1997 540i. I have purchased a new e39 and of course don’t need 2. The price is very low because I believe in full disclosure. This car is running and will run forever with oil changes. This is not to say it doesn’t need work. It needs plenty of attention (hence again the asking). Needs: Tires Front End Work (shimmy at 40) Ambient Temperature Sensor gone (interrupts outside temperature reading in OBC) Some bubbles at end of right rear panel MID display almost gone LCD in dash almost gone Buttons on AC unit needs to be replaced Cup Holder broken Door trim panel attention Steering Wheel controls don’t work LKM was thought to be bad, so was being removed but never was. You will need to have kick panel put back in place. Does have many receipts for work performed. Folks I am quite sure there is more so if I haven’t listed, I apologize. I really highly suggest you take the car to the repair shop to be checked out prior to purchase if you aren’t a mechanic. For the mechanic, the needs are almost all DIY. Just time and care will net you a 540i V8 for little to nothing. Please look at all photos as I have tried to be as detailed as possible.
