1986 FORD F150 XL This truck has been in my family for over 10 years. It was my grandfathers truck but he passed in 2000 so it was passed on to my dad. My father passed in 2004 so it was than passed down to me. My father and grandfather both used this truck for farming and it has never been driven out of NC. The furthest it has ever been drove was to Greensboro and if you are familiar with nc you know, from Benson to Greensboro is only a 1 1/2 hours drive. Since I started college in 2005 I barely had time to drive it or fix it up, I just drove it around town when I was home from school and drove it to my college dorm in greensboro to unload furniture. It may or may not need a tuneup, just put new motorcraft spark plugs in it in December 09. The truck is still running very smoothly to have 149.989 miles on it. However when the gas tank is below 1/4 full the truck will cut off and it will take a while for it to start. I was told it was the fuel filter, I have one but i dont know how put it in. The engine is 302 5.0L and it is fuel injected. It is equipped with duel gas tanks(one has some trash in it) and duel pipes. It also has power steering and cruise control. The exterior of the truck on one side is in bad shape due to a wreck my grandad got in and the front window is cracked. Their is some type of electrical problem with the radio, some days it works some days it doesnt. The bed of the truck is in great condition no rust or no holes but the tailgate is jammed. Ask for the interior, the seats are ripped a little bit but nothing to serious, the drivers door panel is missing, and their are holes in the dash. The steering wheel could use some aligning but its not bad enough to keep you from driving. All in All this is a good running work truck with no problems on the engine or transmission. Ugly on the outside but good on the inside like any ford Truck LOL! Also included with this truck is a tool box on the back with tools (wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc) and a battery charger.
