1964 VW BEETLE Up for auction is a California Black Plate 1964 beetle with a 1st year factory sunroof. It's been off the road since 1994. ***77,500 original miles*** It's solid with no rust as you would expect. It even has the original floors that are solid including under the battery. The doors are aligned perfectly and open and close like new. I believe it to have the original carpet, door panels etc. The car is 45-46 years old, so there are nicks, dings and scratches so it will definitely need a paint job down the road but it's as solid as the day it left Germany. It has an aftermarket front hood on it and I would recomend putting on an original at some point. The Bug runs and sounds great. It has a new battery along with a new carburator. Recent brake work done including new master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders and rear brakes along with a new hardware kit. I brought it to Iowa about 2 months ago. I always wanted a 64 because it was the year I was born. I have 2 other bugs and a bus and there's no way I'll touch this one for years so I decided to let it go. If you come and aren't satisfied turn around and walk away. I'll refund your money no questions asked. If your looking to restore an old classic, they don't get much better than this.
