So, this cabrio is an awesome first car, or just an awesome car in general. I am the second owner of this VW. Here are the repairs/ things I have done to this vehicle:1) exhaust system (replaced at 85,000 mi)2) Brakes and rotors (85,000 mi)3) Transmission rebulit/replaced at 95,000 mi4) Battery replaced at 128,0005) ALL belts replaced at 128,000 mi6) the lock cylinder was replaced and repaired by VW about a week ago ( I have both a master key and a valet key) Things that this car needs: 1) A stereo2) A new roof if the patched holes bother you3) Since I have owned the car, I have used the convertible top as a manual top (as I did with my '97 cabrio) so, the electric/hydraulic roof that was painfully slow has been disabled. Things that are wrong with this car. 1) There are 2 small holes in the roof, they do not leak, i patched them well. 2) There is a dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel that would increase the value of this car.3) The hood has some small chips (about 8-10) This car runs great! Leather heated seats, side blinkers, great MPG. I am sad to sell it, but my fiance bought a subaru, and we only need one car! 132,000 miles. If someone fixed the dent and threw a stereo in there, it could make them very happy! Any questions, just ask me before bidding, I've owned this car for the last 4 years!
