The time has come to pass on "Miss Daisy" to a new owner. Daisy was purchased 12 years ago from a gentleman in Baton Rouge. He stated the car had originally lived in Biloxi. She had just received a body on paint job. The paint on the dashboard and engine cowling as well as undercarrage is original. When I retired I did the following mechanical upgrades. The engine was completely rebuilt (bearings and stainless valves), New heavy duty radiator, rebuilt steering sector from "Mikes A,s" in Georgia, New updated water pump, converted to alternator, complete rewiring , rebuilt transmission with all new gears, new clutch and pressure plate and brake system rebuiltl. Their is approximately 1,000 miles on her since this was all done. At present Daisy is not a show car. She has a few paint chips here and there. The paint livted near the gas filler when the tank overflowed and I failed to catch it in time. The interior is starting to look tired (stain on headliner) and she will need new shoes on the front in the near future. Mechanically she is a great road car. She has been used in two movies and lead the 4th of July parade in Southport N.C. including a TV interview. I would drive her anywhere. Please if you are looking for a top show car do not bid.
