Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1972 Ford F100, I do not need to sell it but I would like to sell it because I am in need of a regular truck and utility trailer. It is a 1969 block with the thicker webbing. The shifter is a Hurst and it can be used in either ratchet or standard shift patterns and has reverse lockout. I have the original boxes for the cam, carb, ignition box and distributor box. It has an SFI approved flexplate. I have a brand new seat cover still in the box that I got from the previous owner and haven't used yet. The seat cover that is in the truck now is in good shape. I have a lot of the receipts from the previous owner as well. It has a billet steering wheel with a ford logo at the horn. Column mounted tach and oil pressure and water temp gauges mounted under the dash. We never had it dynoed but it is estimated at about 600 hp. It only has about 600 mile on it since the motor was built. I just don't have the time or the interest anymore. The motor is a 351 windsor solid roller stroked to a 398. Has all forged internals, 11:1 compression and 0 decked. Has a main girdle and a high volume Melling oil pump with a Canton 7 quart oil pan. For the top end it has the old school Trick Flow cast iron High Port Racing heads that have been completely ported and polished, header adapter plates to 2 1/8" OD full length headers to a 3 1/2" collector. Has a comp cams billet cam that was custom ordered, we used an extreme energy profile on a billet core, here is a link to the specs on the cam . It has 1.6 Harland Sharp roller rockers on the exhaust and 1.7 Crane roller rockers on the intake with a valve stud girdle and custom fabricated valve covers with a header evac setup. The intake is a Super Victor with a Quick Fuel 950cfm drag carb with black anodized billet metering plates and base plate and nice chromate finish. It has a CSR electric water pump, Powermaster 140 amp alternator which is the only accessory run from the motor. MSD billet distributor and a MSD 6 Digital ignition box, Mallory 140gph electric fuel pump with an external adjustable regulator mounted on the firewall with gauge. The exhaust is 3 1/2" straight back and dumps right in front of the back axle and goes through Dynomax race bullet mufflers. It has Centerline 5 star drag rims. The suspension is DJM dropped I-beams on the front and drop shackles on the back. I have also done the front disc brake conversion and all brakes, rotors and drums are brand new. It has all polyurethane bushings in the suspension and cab mounts. The drivetrain is a C-6 automatic with a TCI manual valve body and a TCI aluminum deep sump tranny pan. The torque converter is a Hughes 3,500 stall. The rear is 3:55 full spool ford 9". RCI Aluminum 17 gallon fuel cell in the front of the bed. Other information for the heads the valves are 2.02 IN / 1.95 EX Ferrara Stainless Valves with Comp Cams double valve springs and titanium retainers. Bed Cover The body work and paint was done by the previous owner. I had everything off the frame to have the frame sandblasted and then painted hot rod baby blue and then over the course of three years finally got it all together and now it just sits in the garage begging to be driven but I don't have time or the interest anymore. The rev limiter is set at 6,800 and it will pull past 7 easily, it really comes on strong above 3,500 rpm but with it being a stroker and the torque converter it has a lot of torque to get up and get going and also for normal everyday driving. I have two videos that I took of the truck. One is of it warming up and the video quality isn't the greatest but you can get an idea: Warming up video The second video is a short romp in second gear. I had my little girl with me and between her and trying to take a video I didn't get too aggressive and you will hear I missed a gear going all the way to neutral since I didn't have the shifter in rachet mode. You will hear my little girl chuckle, she loves the truck. Short romp in 2nd The transmission does leak a little bit at the input shaft seal. It isn't much and doesn't hurt anything. The tranny still shifts great, replacing the seal is on my list of things to do but I don't have time and with us moving it is on the back burner. The only thing that it needs to finish the interior is to put a radio in it and if you are like me and like the metal dash the holes where the original dash pad was mounted could be filled in. The truck is very streetable and if you don't mind getting it dirty could be used every day. It surprisingly does fairly decent on fuel for what it is, I haven't measured it exactly but normal driving being light on the pedal I would say it gets 12 - 14 mpg and romping then probably around 6 - 8 mpg. This is the last time I am listing it. It is worth every penny and a lot more. I have over that much just in the motor and accessories not including the truck. Good luck and happy bidding and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Since this is a used item it is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied.
