Vehicle Detail
1973 Charger Rallye Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This 1973 Charger Rallye is one the last true muscle cars produced! The car needs restoration, but this is an opportunity to own a very nice, RARE, Big Block powered muscle car era MOPAR! It was originally equipped with a 440 engine rated at 280 HP, a torque flite auto transmission and an 8 ¾ rear. Other performance equipment includes: - Power bulge hood with hood pins - Rallye dash with Tach and 150 speedo - Console shifted slapstick shifter The exterior color is FE-5 bright red with a TX9 black interior, vinyl top and stripes. The car is mostly complete but hasn’t been in the road in years and needs a lot of work. The frame appears to be in very good shape and has the torque boxes at the front of the rear spring mounts unique to 440 B-bodies in 1973. The body itself appears to be sound. The rear quarters are rusty, the doors need work as do the front fenders. The trunk floor is pretty solid and the driver’s side floor is the only area that needs work. Under hood is pretty solid but there is some rust under the battery tray. The original engine is gone. There is a 383 in the car that hasn’t run in over 10 years. I have most of the under hood components except the A.C. compressor and brackets. I do have an original dual snorkel air cleaner. The interior is mostly complete. The door panels, console, gauge cluster and rear seat look pretty good but the headliner, front seats and dash pad need work. The grille inserts need work and the tail lights look pretty good. The rear bumper is from a ’71 but I have the original which needs work. I have the title, partial broadcast sheet and fender tags. Feel free to ask any and all questions!
