1972 FORD MUSTANG MACH - 1 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1.......Alabama/Tennessee car from new.Never seen snow,or salt.Numbers match! Original 351 Cleveland (2v)engine FIX automatic trans 9" rear Air-Conditioning Power steering Power disc brakes Factory tinted glass Console clock Tach & gauges Original NASA hood U.S.Wheels(Made in USA!) FlowMaster exhaust Very solid original car.The 2v carb/intake have been replaced with a 4v intake & Holley carb & the wheels replaced with nice chrome American made rims.Other than these minor upgrades it is original to the best of my knowledge.Tennessee car till 1999.Was purchased by an associate of mine in Alabama who owned the car till 2009 when I purchased.I then had the car cosmetically restored.Only panel not original(to my knowledge)is the right side floor pan which I had replaced.Very minor wheel arch rust was also addressed.The left rear quarter panel had been repaired in mid-90`s,but was not rusty so I opted to retain it.It has been re-painted in a Gold that is very close to original code.Interior is correct in style,and color. The original engine/trans had less than 20,000 miles(since build) when I purchased the vehicle,and performed great.Air-Conditioning works like it should as do all the gauges.FMX trans shifts smooth,and effortlessly.AND nothing sounds like an `ol Mustang with FlowMasters! No it`s not a concourse classic,but it is one of the nicest matching number drivers you`ll find....having spent almost it`s whole life in a salt-free environment.Why buy a clone,or non-matching numbers car when you can buy a solid original Mach 1! Road ready.I wouldn't even flinch at the idea of driving this car to California,and back.Of course on Route 66!
