Vehicle Detail

1964 FERRARI 330GT 2+2 1964 FERRARI- PININFARINA 330GT PROJECT CAR We are offering a straight and solid 1964 Ferrari 330GT 2+2, by Pininfarina project car. It is missing its V-12 engine as well as its transmission. Aside from those two components, believed to have been left and lost to an overhaul shop back in the 1980’s, it appears correct, complete and very original. This car sat in a garage near Riverside CA, for the last 20+ years. Prior to that, it seems it suffered outdoor storage for at least long enough a time to have it’s door seal rubbers dry out and allow water and debris to gather in the door bottoms, hence some rust issues. The floors are at least 95% intact and solid, no previous repairs to deal with, but there are a couple of soft spots. There is no evidence of any significant prior accident damage and the frame is excellent. The glass appears to have never been out of the car and all of it seems ok. Some trim (headlights, etc.) and one door panel are off the car, but we have them and there is no apparent reason why they were taken off. It is chassis #5365. It still has its VIN tag. It still has its old California title (pink slip). The Borrani wires are decent and will probably clean up. They’re all stamped 15X6 1/2” L RW 2801. The original radiator seems fine and is with the car. All of the wiring and the hoses were neatly unfastened and tucked away, as evidence that the intention was to return the engine to the car and that it was not being used as a donor car. The instruments are all intact, undamaged and aside from being dirty, look fine. The top of the dash is intact, undamaged and aside from being dirty looks fine. The seats are original to the car, but are badly weathered. The photos make the car look worse then it actually is. The doors are quite repairable, but are the worst of it. Here is a great chance to restore a vintage twelve cylinder Ferrari or a great opportunity to build a retro spec special using a later model V-12 Ferrari engine & trans or perhaps using American mechanicals. It rolls easy. All of the brake system is intact. The steering seems to work fine. We encourage people to come and see the car (central Virginia) and to ask questions. EXTRA LOW RESERVE. Contact Nate Thompson for questions or to schedule an appointment to see the car- 434-509-6219.
