Vehicle Detail
1968 MGCGT with 4 speed and overdrive This rare car was produced by MG for only two years. In 1968 there were only 438 of the GT model imported. The MGC is equipped with the three liter Austin engine, similar to the Austin Healy engine. It has dual SU carburetors. This car is in nice condition. It has been in storage for seven years, so will need a service to be roadworthy. Buyer should plan to trailer the car home, or have it shipped. It runs fine, the transmission shifts fine, the overdrive works. I have the correct air cleaner for this car. The rugs are almost new, the tires are almost new. There are four Dunlop tires, and one Kumho tire. There is some rust in the castle rails, but not enough to worry me. My MGB has the same, and it drives and handles just fine. The floors have been patched with welded in metal panels, and I also have replacement floor panels with the correct ridging for the MGC. The color is pale primrose. The seats are black leather with white piping. The rear seat is vinyl. This is not a fine point show car, but a nice car with good paint, nice interior, and it runs and drives. The overdrive is dripping oil from the access panel, which I suppose is a gasket problem. The wheels should be repainted.Payment will be by certified bank check, or if picking up the car in person, by cash. Checks must clear before the car leaves here. Inspection of the car is encouraged, BEFORE you bid. Payment to be made within 10 days of the end of the auction. This is a nice car, but is over 40 years old, and any buyer should be aware that a 40 year old car is not like a new one. There is no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for arrangements and cost of any shipping. There is no title, as Connecticut does not title cars older than 1981. I do not have a title, and cannot provide one. The buyer will get an official state of Connecticut Bill of Sale, and a copy of my current registration. Please check with your DMV to see if this is sufficient. Connecticut buyers need no inspection, just the bill of sale and my registration. Please email any questions, or to arrange for an inspection. Please check my feedback rating. I have been buying and selling on Ebay for over 10 years.
