I am selling my '71 R75/5 Bike runs and rides perfect. The tires are fine and battery is new, brakes are great. The paint is not worn on the tank or fenders and there is nothing wrong with the chrome on the tank. The side covers are new. In otherwords there are no negatives with the appearance of bike. All lights turn signal and horn work great. Seat is in perfect condition. No key for the seat lock. This is a great SWB (Short Wheel Base) version of a classic BMW “Slash 5.” The bike starts cold on the first or second kick, the electric push button starter works perfect to. This bike runs awesome. Cylinders show good compression with the left at 138 psi and the right at 142 psi. The mileage is actual, 37,250 Bike is set up with original type 53 Bing carbs Rebuilt petcocks with new floats and fuel lines – no leaks. Valves are properly set at .006” intake and .008” exhaust.. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY Presently the title has a South Carolina Highway Department (SCHD104732 VIN), this number was stamped on the frame by the SCHD becaues they wanted a frame ID and not an engine ID. Also the year on the title was mistyped as 1977 and not 1971. I am working with the SCHD to correct the title errors. You need to know this in advance, just in case. You can clearly see the motorcycle is a 1971, they stopped making the "Toaster" in mid 1973. The VIN cast on the engine indicates it was made in September of 1971.
