Thank you for viewing my auction for a 5899 original mile 1983 DeLorean. I am the second owner of this D and bought it from an older lady whos husband passed away in 96, title transferred to her, car fax supplied by email . She only drove the car from the garage to the yard to move it ,in and out when it was in the way. When I took ownership, it needed some work, which I have performed majority of, and most expensive of. Starter rebuilt, extensive cleaning of the fuel system was in order, so I drained, and heavily cleaned the fuel tank, gave it a new pump, filter, RPM relay, and had fuel injectors cleaned so there were no issues.New Clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, slave cylinder, flywheel turned, main seal replaced. All in excellent working order. Starts and runs excellent, even drives down the road tight and straight. All new plugs, wires, rotor button and cap. New rear brakes, including rotors and calipers. Front brakes are working properly and will include new rotors, brake shoes and wheel bearings that I thought I needed for the front, and did'nt. Stainless panels are in excellent shape, besides one small ding under the driver side lock shown in the pics and the T-panel is raised slightly from the louver. Still needs some minor work now that the hard and expensive side has been taken care of. Passenger door needs adjusted ,something in the lock, and passenger window will not roll down. blower for heat and air doesnt work and radio lights up ,but no sound. yeah, thats it. I have a ton of parts and manual books that go along with it, that will show everything you need to know about deloreans. As stated earlier , I have a few extra part to go along with the DeLorean. Example, new rotors for the front, brake pads for front and wheel bearings for front, also have another fuel filter etc.The interior of this car speaks for itself being a 9 out of 10. Overall car is in excellent shape. Please have all funds cleared and available before end of auction, at end of auction there will be a 500.00 immediate payment required . ThanksOn May-06-10 at 17:57:13 PDT, seller added the following information:UPDATE: I went out today to clean the delorean up for the next owner ,with only two days to go, and when I went to start it ,it wouldnt start. I added fuel into the intake and low and behold it fired right up and stayed running until I shut it off. Just so everyone knows ,it could happen again, there will still be a little work left to do for the next owner, not sure if it is just the co that needs adjusted or not ,as it was running a little rich when it fired up. When it started up it stayed running and idled good. You are welcome to retract your bid if need be. I took the fuel pump out yesterday and changed the original air filter and now it fires right up, not sure if it had a burp in the system or just a kink in the fuel pump.
