Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a wonderfully conditioned 2003 Porsche Boxster (no S). This car is just shy of 9,000 miles--yes, less than 9K original miles. The body and interior condition are excellent, reflecting a very low mileage vehicle. All is stock; no modifications have been made. The vehicle does have the protective, clear-coat film (originally applied new at the dealer) on the front-end to protect against road debris. I bought the car from Loeber Motors in Chicago, IL and just have not driven it nearly as much as I expected. I'm sure there is someone out there who can take better advantage of this vehicle me. To the best of my knowledge (and that of my mechanic's) there is nothing wrong with this car AT ALL. I just drove it one last time today; and although, I had some second thoughts, I felt it best to find a good home for her. There is no reserve on this rare find, so take advantage of it. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping costs. I will happily to do my best to accommodate both. Good Luck! It complicates things for all involved--including those bidding against you. I appreciate it.On May-05-10 at 13:00:15 PDT, seller added the following information:Hi, all. I have been getting a lot of questions on the Boxster, which is great; but many repeats, so I thought I would just answer them here. 1) I have the title in hand--nothing is owed on the car. If the winner of the auction wants a scanned copy of it before they give me a deposit, I am happy to do that. 2) I do not have the full service history of the car. In the last three years that I have owned it, I have only needed to change the oil each year (done at the local Porsche dealer) and I put a brand new battery in it last November. After 7 years, I just didn't trust the original with the constant draw the Porsche puts on it. 3) There are no dents that I have found. No door dings or curb rash on the wheels or tires. It is, however, a 7 year old vehicle that was driven 9000 miles, so there is evidence of that. You will find a couple marks on the front's protective clear coat and a mark or two on the front bumper from bugs, a stone or the like. I have never tried buffing anything out, as all is normal, incidental stuff. It looks like a car with 9000 miles on it. The great thing is you are getting it for the price of a 7 year old, rather than the $40K+ you would pay for an '09 with 9K miles.
