Vehicle Detail

SUPER RARE!!!!!!!!! Mercedes LORINSER SLK w Lamborgini doors and Kompressor motor! I am listing for my friend this car. THE CAR IS LOCATED IN HOUSTON, TX. It is a project purchased from ebay but never got off the ground. It is a 1998 Mercedes SLK Lorinser convertible with kompressor engine. This Lorinser package has the added things like rear wing, upgraded exhaust and body styling. Not to mention this car has thelamborgini doors that come up!!! Its a head turner for sure but for him, was just another one of many many projects he never got off the ground. Since he lives outside the country now and travels every other week, time has passed and the car has sat for several years. He purchased the car through ebay for over 5k a couple years ago. Site unseen and with the intention of believing the seller so that he could complete a full restoration. After he purchased it, it was towed to a Mercedes dealer who told him that the work it needed was to have the flex plate replaced and the shift cable redone. This wasnt what the seller told my friend but, whats another 800usd to have another person look at the car after spending 5k to buy it from him! So, from all this expense, I can tell you that the car turns over no problem but since the shift cable is broken, the computer is sending a message to not allow the car to start.. and it wont. No worries though as if you buy the car, you get the flex disk (new) and a whole new matching computer with ignition lock and key! The seller on ebay who I purchased it from, only said he purchased it at auction and I have confirmed this true as I obtained outside the title, a copy of the lienholder repo affidavit. About the car: INTERIOR- The inside of the car is relatively clean. The door panel on the driver side is missing and will need that. The rest of the interior is all there and in good shape. It is black leather with wood grain trim. The dash is clean and without any cracks on it. The rollbar is clean without any scratches or issues. Outside of everything mentioned above, the interior will need a good cleaning from sitting in open covered storage for sometime. About the car: EXTERIOR- The outside of the car overall is in good shape. It doesnt appear to have had any accidents and body is straight and clean. The lamborgini doors were done perfectly and open and close with no issues. The Mercedes dealer even said whoever did them, did them to factory standards! The doors align perfectly with the body with no open edges or creases. There are some paint chips in the car as seen on the photos and would have the car repainted to be honest. The car has aftermarket rims but only 3 of them are on the car and the other is just a spare put on. The tires are not good and suggest to have it towed. The driver side corner signal marker is missing and always has been. About the car: MECHANICALLY- The kompressor engine, brakes and other mechanical appear to be in good shape. I dont know about the AC as I never had the car going. All the lights, signals etc work so I would say the electrical is ok. The car will need the flex disc installed as it has a bad one now and the shift cable attached. I have the flex disc as I purchased it new from Mercedes. Since the key itself is the switchblade kind and the black portion of it missing, I purchased a whole new computer set and ignition should the little key I have not work. This comes with the car and is worth some pretty big $$$$. Once the car is running, I would have the car tuned up, brake pads redone and AC charged. Also since I am not a mechanic I would have it looked over to be 100% certain of no other issues. I never had the car running as it has sat since I purchased and towed it to Houston TX. The car has 150K miles. So, to recap everything I have said... this is a rare MB Lorinser SLK Kompressor !!! It has lamborgini doors making it a head snapper if anything! It needs work people so dont think you can drive it home. I paid over 5k on ebay 2yrs ago not to mention another 1k in parts, 1k in towing it to houston and 800dollars to have mercedes look at it. So in short, I have lost alot of money and someone will get a killer car that needs very little to put it back in head snappin condition. Ask questions and they will be responded to. I have been honest and upfront with everything about this car. I have title in hand and it is a clean title. This is really someones chance to own a car that turns heads at a fraction of the cost....
