Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1983 Goldwing Aspencade that looks exceptionally nice. I purchased it not running, thinking I'd have the time but I don't. It's much too nice a bike to part out or to let sit. The person I purchased it from had the same idea except he removed the carburetors before he realized he wasn't qualified to do it. I think almost everything is there except for possibly a few screws or nuts which should be available from your local auto parts store or Honda dealer. The paint is exceptionally nice for the year, you'd think it was only a few years old. It's obvious that it's been garaged and covered for it's entire life. There's none of the oxidation you usually see on the older Wings. It shows a little over 64,100 miles but sure doesn't look like it. It also has a beautiful custom seat with matching passenger backrest and bags on the rear trunk. The seat has no wear marks or loose stitching. The colors on the seat match the bike. The paint on the bike looks like a gray with charcoal accent in the shade but in the sun you can see the darker color is actually a gunmetal blue. It has the Clarion radio and cassette deck. It comes with pull out bags in the side bags and has a cover and OEM owner's manual. The rear tire is at least 50% but the front tire should be replaced. The front brake works, and the rear brake doesn't. I've taken pictures of everything I have. The left lower fairing and 2 side covers are supposed to be here before the auction ends. Please e-mail me with any questions. I'll answer the first one right now...the reserve price is $1,000.00. The bike is located in Lake Ozark, Missouri, about 3 hours from St. Louis or Kansas City and about 2 hours from Springfield, MO. Please don't think you'll fly in and ride it home. It will take some work by a Goldwing mechanic for it to hit the road again. I'll require a $200.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction and you can pay the balance in cash or with a certified bank check. I have an open Missouri title, signed by the previous owner but not dated. If that's a problem, I can go to the license bureau and order a new title. It takes about 2 weeks to get one. Thanks for looking! On May-02-10 at 20:00:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a quick note to let you know that I did pick up the two side panels and the left lower fairing on Sunday the 2nd. The right panel is as nice as the rest of the bike. The left side panel has some scratches on the clear coat around the perimiter. I believe you could mask off the cover around the pinstriping and with some light sanding, use a rattle can of clear coat and the side cover would look 95%. Hope this helps and good luck!
